Shalom: it's why we do what we do! In all of the recent Messages I've been hammering away at scriptural and biblical obedience while attempting to remove the snare of Legalistic observances and manmade religion. We as the Messianic Community should be emphasizing and living in the reality and fulfillment of scriptural and biblical obedience to God's word coupled with the reality of Shalom that Yeshua gave us as recorded in the Brit Chadesha. Dr Oz last Tuesday show on Fast growing Cancers-Brain Cancers; most significant cause-Pork, Ham, and bacon! As a Messianic Congregation we are not just a Jewish expression of worship but the prophetic fulfillment of all biblical promises and prophecies, both the Tanach and Brit Chadesha. For years I've been espousing the "One New Man" that Yeshua came for, taught and prayed for, and died for; It's one of His most famous orations as recorded in John 17: John 17:18-23. Just as you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 On their behalf I am setting myself apart for holiness, so that they too may be set apart for holiness by means of the truth. 20 "I pray not only for these, but also for those who will trust in me because of their word, 21 that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, are united with me and I with you, I pray that they may be united with us, so that the world may believe that you sent me. 22 The glory which you have given to me, I have given to them; so that they may be one, just as we are one -- 23 I united with them and you with me, so that they may be completely one, and the world thus realize that you sent me, and that you have loved them just as you have loved me. First, this unity releases the Manifest presence of God-the World will then realize that God did in fact sent Yeshua as Messiah! Unity is one of the major reasons I pound away week after week against false religion and false theology. These two topics, False religion and false theology are the two main though not exclusive reasons we have two separate camps of Gentile Christians and Messianic Jews. The wall and barriers must be broken down and removed for full, uninhibited unity to be released. The prevalent false assumption is that all non believing Jews will become Christians or that all Christians will become Jews. What scripture states is that Jew and Gentile become something new: II Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation - the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!
